My Tallow Cream Story
I have been eating an all-meat diet for over 18 years. After a few years, our ( there are a lot of us who eat this way) skin becomes softer and more sensitive like a child's. Commercial skin products started to irritate my skin.
I learned that "back in the day" women used tallow to moisturize their skin and made soap out of it. So I got to work trying to make an all-natural cream that wasn't too greasy and smelled nice. That was over 15 years ago. My tallow cream formula has improved over the years and it just gets better and better.
I use fat from locally raised grass fed cows and I "dry" render* my own tallow. All the other ingredients are top quality and or organic.
*Note: Many sellers are using "wet" rendered tallow to make their skin care products. Wet rendered tallow, especially if salt has been used, strips the nutrients out of the tallow.
I use this cream on my face, body, hands, and as suntan oil. At 58 yrs old my skin is loving it and I'm sure yours will too.
FYI - This cream is temperature sensitive. My cream is made with mostly beef tallow and tallow is hard at room temperature, so if it is below 72 or so, the cream may be hard, or seem dry. It just needs to be warmed up or kept in a warmer area to make it creamy.
My house is cold in the winter, so my cream is hard. I just scrape some out with the back of my thumbnail, smear a glob on my face or body let it sit there for 1 second then rub it in. It melts on your skin pretty quickly.
